Numbers are up!

Hi Folks – Finally, some news, right? Well, I always think of something to say when I’m sitting in a treatment room, but it rarely makes it here. I’ll have to get better at that, perhaps a small recorder to capture thoughts. 😉

Went in Tuesday for Chemo – but my white counts were too low! (Even with having done the injections at home meant to boost them.) So Doc says my Myeloma proteins doubled again. (they’d done so for the last 2 months prior).

So what does that mean? Looks like I’m becoming resistant to the current regimen, so we’ll have to switch it up. Weird that things were looking better prior to COVID.

Doc wants me to see if I can get into a trial at Froedterts. I’m all for it, but that opens a new can of worms – the VA won’t pay for trials, so I’d have to depend on private insurance (which the government has screwed up) so if there is a trial I could get into, it’d come with an unaffordable price tag, unless something’s changed between this year and last.

But we’ll listen to them anyway and see what’s up. I have an appointment Tuesday at Froedtert and from there will go straight to the VA and get chemo if my numbers have recovered any. 😉

I’m feeling fine through all of this.

Blessed.

Have a great weekend!

What's all this?

I’ve consolidated my health updates to friends & family from other sites for convenience.

GoFundMe & MyLifeLine were super-easy to use, but I didn’t want folks to feel compelled to donate while reading the latest news.

If you do feel prompted to help, use this link – they take no cut, so all of your gift goes to pay down expenses.

Better yet, why not hire me to do something great for your organization?

I’m going to add a link to expenses here pretty soon.  It’s crazy –
