A little happiness. I got to see the ophthalmologist, she ran the same tests I’ve had run thrice before, and she can fix one eye by the end of the year – yay! I was hoping to get both because OBVIOUSLY I’ve met my deductible AND max out-of-pocket for insurance this year. Everyone I’ve heard says the procedure is fairly manageable from a patient perspective, and that they’d wished they’d done it sooner. It’ll be nice if I can get some semblance of my prior sense of vision. 🙂

I’ve got a cancer doc appointment Thursday, 11/4 for follow-up. Hopefully, the labs will come back in my favor, but the proteins usually take a day or two to process, so I may not know anything about that until the weekend. Meanwhile, my calcium is still just above normal. Everything else has been with tolerance, given my condition. I’ll update again if I learn anything new.

My day-to-day living has been okay – an adequate amount of energy most days, though I seem to be trapped in this extremely odd sleep pattern. Most nights, I’ve been hitting the sack between 8 & 9 only to wake up a few hours later, unable to fall back asleep. So I watch a few movies (yes, a 3-4 hour block of time) and then exhausted, fall back asleep. There have been a few rare exceptions when I’ve been able to sleep through the night, but it’s really not ‘good’ sleep, because I’m still tired when I wake.

In other good news, I did finish the work on the ‘burban, and have it on the FB marketplace. No serious bites yet, but keep your fingers crossed – I’ve got some medical bills to pay! 🙂

Josh is doing well, got a new job installing security cameras in MN. for now, it’s a traveling gig. He came to visit for a few days, it was good to see him.

Robin is crazy busy creating the little characters she’s envisioned for this year’s Garden Faire Extraordinaire in December. Look her up on FB under Art on Clark or Rustic and Sage. She’s such an imaginative artist in her different mediums. Very proud of her. 🙂

Y’all have a great week, and may the Lord bless you richly. — Ken

What's all this?

I’ve consolidated my health updates to friends & family from other sites for convenience.

GoFundMe & MyLifeLine were super-easy to use, but I didn’t want folks to feel compelled to donate while reading the latest news.

If you do feel prompted to help, use this link – they take no cut, so all of your gift goes to pay down expenses.

Better yet, why not hire me to do something great for your organization?

I’m going to add a link to expenses here pretty soon.  It’s crazy –
