Rolled the dice on another Thursday van ride. (I’ve been told that few people ride on this Thursday route). Fewer riders = better chance of getting out of there early. Not today. Two other riders and two hospital discharges. (They don’t ride in with us, but ride back if discharged from the hospital). I’m on the bus crossing my fingers. 😉
Kind of a messy ride, a little bit of snow but our driver’s a trooper. Made it on time.
Got labs back and my immune numbers are up to 1800, like real people. Lol. That’s good.
It’s Halloween here at the VA, they had a staff costume contest, but I didn’t try to make it. You could see most everyone walking the hallways anyway. Scariest one I saw was some 60+ lady trying to pull off an early ‘Madonna’ look – and colored hair.

Met Sgt. Cox in the waiting area. Not sure if he really was a Sgt., he just came off cool that way. Army. Sickle Cell. Great attitude. Didn’t get to talk a ton because we both got called back & forth for vitals & docs, etc., but hope to run into him again. My kinda guy.
Everybody’s got a story there – please add them all to your prayer list.
I got my bone strengthener while I was in for chemo today. This was week 3, so I’ll have a chemo break next week. Yay!
