Freedom

Well, alrighty then! The powers that be have seen fit to release me into the wild, as it were. My “screw & glue” seems to be holding up well, and I’m shuffling along with a walker and only use the wheelchair for longer distances.

For the past few days I’ve been nursing a cough – any infection at this point could have devastating results – so far my temperature has remained below the trigger point and the cough is not getting worse, so hopefully we ride it out unscathed.

Tomorrow, I begin a series of 5 targeted radiation therapy treatments. After that, I’ll resume chemo 3 out of 4 weeks on an outpatient basis.

While the 1.5 hour trip (one way) to the VA is somewhat tedious, it affords me time to spend more time with Robin when she comes, and is far better than being confined to the hospital.

I would not have imagined that trying to beat cancer takes so much time, though I am grateful for the opportunity. Praise God.

What's all this?

I’ve consolidated my health updates to friends & family from other sites for convenience.

GoFundMe & MyLifeLine were super-easy to use, but I didn’t want folks to feel compelled to donate while reading the latest news.

If you do feel prompted to help, use this link – they take no cut, so all of your gift goes to pay down expenses.

Better yet, why not hire me to do something great for your organization?

I’m going to add a link to expenses here pretty soon.  It’s crazy –
