Flu

flu

Well, it’s been going around and I got it. There were two dinners I attended back to back, and apparently I couldn’t help myself but be attractive to the bug.

Prior to the weekend, my regularly scheduled chemo treatment went off without a hitch. Sunday morning after the dinner, Robin made me take my temp, which was normal. At 1:00 pm – it was above the cutoff of 100.5 (at which I’m supposed to call the nurse-line for instructions. (Of course, I haven’t called yet where they haven’t advised me to come on it and get checked out… and that’s why I don’t like calling them).

We spent a good 4-5 hours at the emergency room waiting on labs – they finally sent me home with Tamiflu. Results were confirmed a day later – I did have the flu. And it wiped out my white cell counts so I couldn’t get chemo. I must’ve needed a break. ;(

I wasn’t alone – Robin & Josh both got it too.

Just about over it now. Thank goodness.

What's all this?

I’ve consolidated my health updates to friends & family from other sites for convenience.

GoFundMe & MyLifeLine were super-easy to use, but I didn’t want folks to feel compelled to donate while reading the latest news.

If you do feel prompted to help, use this link – they take no cut, so all of your gift goes to pay down expenses.

Better yet, why not hire me to do something great for your organization?

I’m going to add a link to expenses here pretty soon.  It’s crazy –
