Day 40

picc removal

Sorry for the interruption in updates. I had every intention, yet when it came time – I was out of gas. I’ll catch you up in this update.

Jeff & Ahn arrived and took good care of me until they left yesterday morning. Lots of good conversation, it was so good to see my brother again.

Josh decided to hang out in the interim, providing relief so there was no lack of caregiver coverage. I’m so glad he’s able to do this.

Donna, my NP, authorized the removal of my PICC line, so that’ll be one less thing to worry about. I’m hoping that after the wound heals I’ll be able to jump in the pool.

In the meantime, I’ve been exercising alternately on the treadmill and bicycle. It’s hard to put in 30 minutes because I feel so drained, but I take it slow and easy.

Yesterday, the stem cell clinic had a Christmas party with tons of food. I had a little turkey, collard greens, and some cheesecake. It was delicious.

My counts are continuing to come up, though I still feel a little drained today. Good news is that I don’t have to come in every single day now, in fact I’m off until Tuesday.

All I have to do now is not get sick and eat/drink enough to replenish my blood.

I’ve had some phone calls from my dad’s sisters, it’s been really nice to reconnect.

I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Blessings.

What's all this?

I’ve consolidated my health updates to friends & family from other sites for convenience.

GoFundMe & MyLifeLine were super-easy to use, but I didn’t want folks to feel compelled to donate while reading the latest news.

If you do feel prompted to help, use this link – they take no cut, so all of your gift goes to pay down expenses.

Better yet, why not hire me to do something great for your organization?

I’m going to add a link to expenses here pretty soon.  It’s crazy –
