Day 25

bushed

Was dragging a little this morning after a rough night with broken sleep. Selena got me to my appointment and we had some blood drawn, which will be the standard for several days to come. The lab results showed I needed some fluids, so I was put on a 2 hour IV drip. Thankfully, the chair was almost comfortable. 🙂

My blood counts haven’t bottomed out yet, so I still have a little energy, but doc reminded me again that soon I’ll look really old for a time. I’m thinking that ship has sailed, but we’ll keep snapping pics to compare, lol. It’s likely that at some point I’ll need either platelets or a transfusion, as the chemo is designed to kill bone marrow which will prevent me from making new stuff.

This afternoon I took a little nap and felt a little better, and watched some Godfather on TV. Didn’t realize how long those movies are. Still don’t know if I saw 1 or 2. 🙂

Selena and I looked in on the hotel dinner, and I’d have loved to imbibe, but due to my condition there are few buffet foods I can eat without risk, so she offered to make pasta. It was delicious, I can’t believe I had 2 helpings. And ice cream. At least I still have an appetite for now.

Tomorrow’s appointment is at 9am, we’ll see how that goes. Prayers for minimal side effects and no infections please!

Blessings –

What's all this?

I’ve consolidated my health updates to friends & family from other sites for convenience.

GoFundMe & MyLifeLine were super-easy to use, but I didn’t want folks to feel compelled to donate while reading the latest news.

If you do feel prompted to help, use this link – they take no cut, so all of your gift goes to pay down expenses.

Better yet, why not hire me to do something great for your organization?

I’m going to add a link to expenses here.
